Top 5 Ways to Use a Torch Lighter Beyond Smoking

Top 5 Ways to Use a Torch Lighter Beyond Smoking

The discovery of fire was fundamental to the development of man. One of the first wonders that spurred rapid development of civilization.

Now we have contained the magic into compact tools to be used for various purposes. Contrary to popular belief, lighters aren’t only used for smoking. Of course, that’s a primary reason for avid lighter users, but there are plenty of other use cases for them. And aren't we all always looking for excuses to play with fire?

Curious as to what they are? Read on to be enlightened.

 #5: Candle Lighting

Sometimes the wick on the candle jar gets too low ,or maybe you put the candle in a hard-to-reach place (shout out short kings), this is where a torch lighter will come in handy. If you run out of matches or if they’re too short to reach, the torch lighter will shine when matches don’t cut it.

#4: Let Me Cook

Torches are perfect in the kitchen, such as for lighting gas stoves and for that extra finesse on a finished dish. Also, think about how sick it would be to bust out one of these for finishing off a creme brulee. You can roast marshmallows and peppers, warm up tortillas and finish your steaks with one of these, especially if you don’t have a gas stove. And with the precision knobs on the torches, you can adjust the level of the flame for added control.

#3. Up In Your Grill

Branching out of the kitchen, we got grilling, or what I like to “call acoustic cooking”. Imagine, you got the boys over for 4th of July for some dogs and you whip out the Thicket Ray Gun Torch to blast up the furnace. You can ditch the lighter fluid, the torch will get the charcoal red-hot in no time without that chemical taste.

 #2: The Great Outdoors

Speaking of the outdoors, what better use for a torch than using it to make a bigger fire? Making a campfire is trivial when using a windproof flame from a torch lighter, so you can spend less time starting a fire and more time enjoying nature.

#1: Fire Up Fireworks

While we’re on the topic of 4th of July, we have the #1 reason to play with fire - I mean, safely use fire for recreation: fireworks. We are about safety after all, and using a torch lighter is the safest way to light even the smallest of fuses, keeping the flame away from your fingers. (We are not responsible for any injuries sustained).
